Founder, Chief Investment Officer
Prior to founding Red Oak Partners in 2003, Mr. Sandberg co-managed private equity firm JH Whitney’s $300 million Green River hedge fund until 2002 and has been investing in small capitalization companies since 1996. Mr. Sandberg serves as the Chairman of the Board of CBA Florida, Inc.
Mr. Sandberg is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in Industrial Management and a B.A. in economics in 1994.
President and Co-Portfolio Manager
Anthony Snow oversees research for Red Oak Partners. Prior to joining Red Oak, Mr. Snow worked at Soros Fund Management where he was part of a two person team that managed a $250 million global long/short equity portfolio. Prior to Soros, Mr. Snow also focused on investments in global equities at both Ardea Capital Management, as part of the founding team, and Wyper Capital Management. Previously, Mr. Snow was employed at Lindsay Goldberg, a private equity firm, where he was an Associate focused on leveraged buyouts. Mr. Snow began his career at Merrill Lynch & Co. as an Analyst in the Mergers & Acquisitions group.
He received a B.B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan, concentrating in finance and accounting, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Chief Financial Officer/Head of Trading
Adrian Pertierra has been the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Trading for Red Oak Partners since December 2007. Prior to joining Red Oak, Mr. Pertierra served as Vice President of Global Markets at Deutsche Bank Alternative Trading, which specialized in investing in several major world markets using various quantitative strategies. Prior to Deutsche Bank, he was a trader on the risk arbitrage desk at Tradition Asiel Securities, Inc. where he specialized in analyzing and trading the capital structure of companies that were involved in mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Mr. Pertierra served as the Vice President of Institutional Equity Sales and Trading at BGC Partners, LP. Prior to that, he worked at A.B. Watley, Inc., first as the Manager of the Finance and Accounting in their accounting department, then moved departments to be an Associate Vice President in the Institutional Equity Sales Trading division.
Mr. Pertierra graduated from College of the Holy Cross with a B.A. in economics.
